Ma-kuchiol is a compound word of ‘Ma’ from wild yam in Korean and ‘kuchiol’ from bakuchiol. It contains extracts from both wild yam and babchi and possesses anti-oxidant, anti-wrinkle, and moisturizing effects. It has a characteristic of being sticky and elastic like yam mucous, and has been developed into two types, Ma-kuchiol-H and Ma-kuchiol-L, depending on the supercritical oil content. Ma-kuchiol-H contains more than 10,000 ppm of bakuchiol, and Ma-kuchiol-L contains more than 1,000 ppm of bakuchiol.
