Melaleuca alternifolia is native to New South Wales and Queensland in Australia and known as narrow leaved paperbarks, snow in summer, and narrow leaved tea tree. It grows in the wild, and native Australians have been used M. alternifolia medicinally for a long time. In bush remedy, the leaves of tea tree are used as a body rub and to treat wounds. Mostly, tea tree essential oil is famous and has an effective anti-bacterial activity. It is widely used for burn care, dental care, wounds, and skin infections.
