Black pearl is an organic gem formed from the black lip oyster (Pinctada margaritifera). These pearls derive their name from being primarily cultivated around the islands of French Polynesia, around Tahiti.
Pearl mainly contains calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, silica, calcium phosphate, aluminum oxide, ferrous oxide, and trace elements such as sodium, magnesium, manganese, selenium, aluminum, and copper, accounting for 91 percent. Recent studies have shown the anti-inflammatory effects of pearl extract on UVB irradiation in skin keratinocytes.
