Blue Marine Complex II is a mixture of natural extracts from 4 seaweeds (dasima, glasswort, red comb weed, and tot), which are well known for their beneficial effects on the skin.

-Dasima is well known for purifying blood and lowering blood pressure. Thus, it can be effective for anti-aging and reducing blemishes and spots on the skin. The abundant minerals such as vitamins C and E and zinc in dasima help the skin prevent various skin problems.

-Salicornia herbacea, glasswort, absorbs salinity, is one of the most salt-tolerant plants, and is easily seen in saltwater habitats. A study demonstrated an anti-inflammatory effect of glasswort and its active compound, irilin B, by inhibiting NO and ROS generation.

-Gelidium cartilagineum belongs to the red algae, which is the raw material of the agar. Agarose and agaropectin are the main polysaccharides of G. cartilagineum. 

-Hizikia fusiformis (‘tot’ in Korea and 'hiziki’ in Japan) is brown seaweed growing wild on rocky coastlines. H. fusiformis has been reported to contain fucosterol, which exhibited anti-photoaging or UV protective effects in normal human dermal fibroblasts.
