Cinnamomum camphora is an evergreen tree commonly known as camphor. C. camphora is native to Korea, China, Taiwan, and Japan and has been introduced to many other countries.

C. camphora has a long-valued history for its extensive and diverse uses in the East. The Chinese used camphor as a circulatory stimulant and analeptic agent, while in India, it is burnt in temples during religious rituals.
