Chrysanthemum indicum is a perennial herb with small yellow flowers, widely spread throughout East Asia, including Korea, Japan, and China. It has traditionally been used as tea or liquor as the flowers are edible and have a very strong aroma. C. indicum is traditionally used to treat pneumonia, cancer, fever, and hypertensive symptoms. Due to its anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, it has been used for various inflammatory diseases and skin problems in folk medicines of East Asia.
