Corydalis turtschaninovii is native to China and has been a staple herb in Traditional Chinese Medicine for thousands of years. Due to its bitter taste and warming properties, have been used to promote circulation,  reinforce vital energy,  treat gastric and duodenal ulcers, and relieve allergic and inflamed conditions and pain. The current research focused on its potential benefits for cardiac, cancer, and neurological care from the principal bioactive fraction known for alkaloids. Another study has been carried out on the anti-allergic properties of C. turtschaninovii. Methanolic root extracts have indicated significant inhibitory activity of histamine release and leukotrienes from mast cells and basophils by an IgE-related mechanism. Furthermore, in concordance with its traditional use, C. turtschaninovii displayed an inhibitory effect on acute inflammatory models. This action is regarded as a result of seudocoptisine, a quaternary alkaloid.
