#grape skin #skin brightening #anti-aging
Vitis vinifera known as ‘common grape vine,’ is possibly one of the oldest cultivated fruit plants, and records date back thousands of years BC and to Neolithic times. The fruit is a berry known as a grape and can be eaten fresh, dried, or fermented into wine. Grape skins are considered as waste after using the inside fruit part. However, abundant powerful antioxidants such as resveratrol exist in grape skin. Especially, total phenolic contents are higher in red grape skin than green grape skin due to anthocyanin density. The recent scientific articles reviewed that resveratrol and its analogs such as Resveratryl Triacetate (RTA) showed human skin brightening and anti aging effects through clinical studies and multiple signaling pathways test.
