All three East Asian countries, China, Japan and Korea have developed their own tea culture. Teaism (ceremony of enjoying tea) is not just about drinking tea but more like an art or a culture. In Korea, as most people generally enjoy various teas, many plants are used as tea. Oriental Tea Complex (OTC) is a plant complex containing extracts from 6 types of tea which are popular in Asia: persimmon leaf, cinnamon bark, Japanese mugwort leaf, Chrysanthemum indicum flowers, Chinese quince fruit and green tea leaf. It is processed by low-temperature ultrasonic extraction method to prevent the destruction of unstable active compounds. OTC demonstrates anti-oxidant and anti-wrinkle efficacies both in vitro and in vivo.
