Panicum miliaceum, commonly called proso millet or millet, is native to eastern and central Asia, and now it is widely cultivated in almost the whole world except for South America. This plant is considered a highly nutritious cereal grain and consumed by humans and livestock. It can grow in a very hot and dry region due to its strong adaptability, and the crop grows up to 100 cm in height for 60-100 days. Unlike other cereals, millet is known for its high content of calcium, potassium, zinc, and iron. In several studies, it is revealed that millet is rich in phenolic compounds that are effective for anti-oxidant.
