GalactoFerm is developed from fermenting galactomyces, a yeast genus rich in proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. When the yeast is cultured in the culture broth, they produce and release beneficial metabolites into the broth as a result of fermentation. As a natural enzyme, yeast has been used mainly in the food industry, such as in bread production, beer fermentation, wine fermentation, and nutritional supplements.
